our story

Helping the helpers since 2004.

We focus our time and talents on behind-the scenes-efforts to extend the impact of other mission-minded organizations.

The PSM Story

Our story begins in a church basement, where our founder, Dave Tuttle, created a dormitory for mission-minded individuals coming to serve in Jacksonville.

That original program, the Urban Mission Experience, was the seed of a dream to serve those who were too busy with the work of serving others to worry about the details.

While we no longer offer the Urban Mission Experience, the original dream has grown and adapted into today’s core programs: Home Safe and Clothing with Purpose.

Through both programs, we work behind the scenes to remove the barriers that trap too many families in survival mode. By providing for their basic needs, in the form of housing and clean clothing, we make it possible for families to focus less on their struggles and more on their opportunities.

Both of our programs rely heavily on collaboration, and we could not accomplish our mission without our allies. Though we are a faith-based organization, we partner with diverse organizations, regardless of affiliation, who share our fundamental commitment to serving others with dignity and respect.

Our Mission

PSMJax is a leading partner in efforts to end homelessness and operates as the community distributor of clothing by building a community where everyone has the access to the essential goods and resources they need.

Our Vision

PSMJax is a community, faith-based agency, serving as a local and global connector of those who have to those who need.

Our Hearts and Hands

Our passionate staff and dedicated Board of Directors work together to govern our organization with best practices resulting in the highest possible impact.

Every day, our team brings together willing hearts and hands, contributing time, talent, and expertise to advance our mission both locally and across the globe.
